Staying active during the pandemic is key to keeping that mind-body-spirit balance, and it’s easy to do at New College.
The Fitness Center and Waterfront Program have the campus community covered recreation-wise, with plenty of rules for responsible social distancing and cleanliness. Here’s the scoop:
The Fitness Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (closed between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. for disinfection); and 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Feeling sick? Don’t use the facilities. Masks are mandatory in all indoor and outdoor fitness areas (including the Waterfront Program, and the basketball and tennis courts, which allow for a maximum group size of 10 people with six feet of social distancing).
You don’t need a reservation to work out in the Fitness Center but you do for the exercise studios (large studio capacity is 10; smaller studio is six). If you want to check out sports equipment, disinfect it before you return it, and always clean your equipment before and after use.
