Hurricane Dorian update: Classes to resume Thursday, Sept 5.

New College continues to monitor the progress of Hurricane Dorian. Classes and tutorials are cancelled on Tuesday, Sept. 3 and Wednesday, Sept. 4. Classes will resume on their normal schedule on Thursday, Sept. 5.

As of 2 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 3, the National Hurricane Center reports that the center of the Category 2 hurricane has passed over the Bahamas and is tracking in a north/northwest direction toward the Atlantic Coast. It is still uncertain whether the storm will remain out to sea or make landfall in the southeastern U.S.

Unless the path of the storm changes dramatically, this will be the last campuswide communication regarding Hurricane Dorian.
