COVID-19 onsite testing for faculty and staff

Testing initiatives are currently underway as New College prepares to reopen the campus for the fall semester.

For faculty and staff, Lab Services will be offering the oropharyngeal (throat) swab COVID-19 drive-through test from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wed. July 22 and Thurs. July 23 at Sainer Pavilion.

While employees will be provided four hours of leave for testing, it is anticipated that the drive-up testing process will take less than 30 minutes. Test results will likely arrive much sooner than the 7 to 10 days that have been experienced elsewhere. Note: If you have already submitted test results and would like to test again, you can retest and receive an additional four hours of leave.

Lab Services has created a website link¬†(https://labservices.us/new-college) to allow you to schedule an appointment, and upload a copy of your driver’s license and insurance card. Your personal information will be HIPAA-protected (this is a requirement of all licensed testing services). To log in, you can use your NCF Gmail account by clicking the Google link, or you can sign in with your Facebook or Apple account, and you will receive a confirmation email.

COVID-19 testing is required for all employees (including those working completely off campus) to enable New College to establish a baseline.

Employees who have no access to technology, such as a smartphone or computer, may contact 941-487-4444 for assistance with uploading the required documents. Employees who do not have transportation may call for alternative options.
