Need to stay in shape during the remote learning period? New College’s Fitness Center has the tips and tricks.
The first “Fitness Fridays” newsletter launched on April 10 with a “Sports and Fitness at Home” theme.
“COVID-19 has all of us rethinking how to do many of the things we normally take for granted,” wrote Colin Jordan, New College’s director of fitness and recreation. “We’re learning to do school from home, work from home, and even work out at home.”
To help, students and staff are writing weekly articles on home fitness, maintaining a webpage with great home fitness resources, and doing remote fitness counseling sessions.
The site includes videos of cardio and strength training workouts (which can be done with little or no equipment), as well as sports drills and exercises.
