Global Health: Why You Really Must Care

A lecture sponsored by the Sarasota World Affairs Council featuring Richard Skolnik, former director for health in the South Asia region of the World Bank and executive director of Harvard’s U.S.-supported AIDS treatment program for Botswana, Nigeria and Tanzania. He will discuss some of the key challenges in global health, the threats they pose for the U.S. and the world, and how they might be addressed.
The Sarasota World Affairs Council hosts high-profile foreign affairs lectures covering current international issues ranging from foreign intelligence to peace negotiations to immigration and trade.
