Native Plant Restoration Area cleanup
Saturday, February 2, 2019,10:00 am - 1:00 pm EST
The Native Plant Restoration Area, on the south side of Dort Promenade, is in need of cyclical removal of invasive plants, because they displace native plants and decrease biodiversity. This is a great opportunity to learn about this campus resource and plant identification, and rub elbows with your grubby peers.
- People are welcome to swing through later and for any length of time!
- Kid friendly.
- No plant [botany] experience required. We will start with a quick tutorial on the target plants and work in pairs to make sure that we’re pulling only invasives.
- Will likely be fresh carambola snacks and music.
- Bring water, a hat &/or sunscreen, and gloves, if you have them.
