Thursday, October 22, 2020,3:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT
The U.S. Department of State and The Washington Center invite you to a live webinar panel discussion on Thursday, October 22, at 3 p.m. Eastern Time, Foreign Affairs IT Fellowship: Path to a Career in the Foreign Service, to hear about a unique fellowship program for college students who aspire to a technology career that makes a difference in the world.
The FAIT Fellowship is a path to an exciting career in the U.S. Foreign Service, providing academic funding (up to $75,000), internships with stipends, professional development, and, ultimately, an appointment (full-time position) as a Foreign Service Information Management Specialist (IMS). If you want to use your tech skills to make a difference, see the world, and experience different cultures, the Foreign Affairs IT (FAIT) Fellowship is an opportunity of a lifetime.
The application cycle for the 2021 cohort is open now through Feb 1, 2021 – so this is the perfect time to learn about this program and spread the word to your students.
Webinar panelists include Patricia Boerner, Program Manager for the FAIT Fellowship, Allen Dubose, Diplomat in Residence, and Ernesto Pizarro, Division Chief, with the U.S. Department of State, and Blessing Rutonesha, Assistant Program Manager, with TWC. You’ll have a chance to ask your questions during the live Q&A session at the end of the panel discussion.
While this webinar is designed to provide information to help advisors, faculty or staff members at colleges and universities spread the word to their students, IT-related students may also register. The webinar will be recorded, so if are not able to attend at this time, you’ll be able to register for the on-demand recording on the FAITFellowship.org website.
