Lirerati explores Ringling Museum’s written treasures

The Ringling Art Library, in collaboration with the Jane Bancroft Cook Library, present Literati, a book club that discusses books about art and subjects reflecting the Ringling Collections.

Literati meets monthly,from 10:30-11:30 a.m., Thursdays at the Cook Library and Fridays at the Ringling Art Library. Books in this series can be purchased at the Ringling Museum Store. The next presentation, on Oct. 18, features “An Artist of the Floating World,” by Kazuo Ishiguro.

April 4, 2019: “The Unfinished Pallazo: Life, Love and Art in Venice. The Stories of Luisa Casati, Doris Catlerosse and Peggy Guggenheim,” by Judith Mackrell.

May 2, 2019: “The Collector of Lives: Giorgio Vasari and the Invention of Art,” by Ingrid Rowland.
