Novo Toastmaster wins area competition

New College student Evan Hunter took first place in the recent Humorous Speech Contest at the Toastmasters International Area E53 competition, held Oct. 27 at the Gulf Gate Library in Sarasota.

New College Toastmasters Club members Zulfiia Tursunova and Hunter Mundy also presented speeches at the competition in the Tall Tales category.

Hunter will advance to the Division E Contest to be held in December.
