Ringling, New College, USF and SCF are all working on plans to reopen their Sarasota-Manatee area campuses, somehow, some way, in the fall.

Leaders at area colleges are developing plans to reopen campuses in the fall, but at this point there are more questions than answers as to what that will look like.
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, New College of Florida, Ringling College of Art and Design and the State College of Florida are all shooting to open in the fall, but COVID-19 is forcing leaders to develop an array of contingency plans.
And with the rapidly-evolving pandemic, not getting too attached to one solution seems to be key.
“This is the year of flexibility,” said State College of Florida President Carol Probstfeld.
