The Colette Project: “Colette and American Women of the Left Bank” (In English) w/ Isabelle De Courtivron, Professor Emerita, MIT

At least a dozen expatriate American women, including Edith Wharton and Gertrude Stein, moved to Paris at the beginning of the twentieth century. Colette was one of the only French women to be part of the salons established by this group of writers, publishers, and book sellers.
